Protect yourself and all from the spread of COVID-19
You can decrease your chances of being infected or spreading COVID-19 by taking some simple precautions:
- Make your hand clean with alcohol-based hand rub, soap, and water regularly and thoroughly. Why? Washing your hands with soap and water or using alcohol-based hand rub kills viruses which may get on your hands.
- Maintain a minimum of 1 meter (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone else… Why? When someone coughs, sneezes, or speaks they spray small liquid droplets from their nose or mouth which can contain viruses. If you’re in their area in which you can get affection, you’ll inhale the droplets, if the person has the disease, then you may get the covid-19 virus.
- Avoid attending crowded places… Why? Where people close in crowds, you are more likely to return into close contact with someone who has been infected with COVID-19 and it’s harder to take care of a physical distance of 1 meter (3 feet).
- Touching eyes, nose, and mouth are irresponsible acts for yourself. Why? Hands touch many surfaces and may acquire viruses. Hands once become contaminated, that can transfer the virus easily to your nose, mouth, or eyes. It is enough way for viruses to get into your body.
- Make sure you, and the people near you, follow good respiratory hygiene. This implies covering your nose and mouth together with your bent elbow or tissue once you cough or sneeze. Then eliminate the used tissue quickly and wash your hands. Why? Droplets spread viruses. You protect the people around you from viruses like cold, flu, and COVID-19 by following good respiratory hygiene.
- Even with minor symptoms like cough, headache, mild fever, stay self-isolated and if it is possible stay at home until you recover. Have someone who can bring you supplies. If you would like to go out from your house, wear a mask to eschew infecting others. Why? Avoiding contact with each other will prevent them from COVID-19 and other viruses.
- If you have got a cough, fever, and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention, then if it is possible and follow the directions of your local health authority, call by telephone in advance… Why? National and local authorities will have the most up to date information on matters in your area. Which may allow your healthcare provider to immediately direct you to the proper clinic for your treatment. This may help to prevent the spread of viruses and other infections and also protect yourself as much as possible.
